Health Testing
I take pride in offering the highest standard of health possible in my Steinway Scotties. All Scotties participating in my breeding program are genetically tested to screen for genetic genotypes common to the Scottish Terrier breed, including Craniomandibular Osteopathy, and Von Willebrand Disease, and are all found clear.
How we raise our puppies:
Steinway Scotties are born and raised front and center, in the heart of our home. I, along with my family, provide 100% of the care of our puppies and take the proper precautions to ensure the safest health and environment for our babies. For the first two weeks of life, the puppies have eyes on them 24/7. This is to ensure that mom and babies are able to receive proper nutrition at all times. I carefully monitor and record all of our babies growth and development milestones. I follow the rearing program, Puppy Culture, which teaches early socialization and stimulation techniques that helps me be able to provide happy and confident puppies that are ready to explore their new world. Steinway Scotties offer a lifetime of love and joy to their forever families!
How do I get my puppy if I don't live near you?
At this time, I do not ship my puppies unattended as appropriate temperatures, supervision and holding conditions cannot be guaranteed. I do, however, use a flight nanny for an additional fee, or personally deliver puppies to the Salt Lake International Airport directly to new owners who fly into the airport to receive, pick up and accompany their new baby on their return flight home. It is a wonderful and joyous moment, when new families meet their forever baby, and I’m honored to be a part of it!
